Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) is an engineering and management institute in Rohini, New Delhi. It was established in 1999 by Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society (MATES), whose founder and chief advisor is Dr. Nand Kishore Garg. MAIT is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and approved by AICTE.
Programmes across engineering and management
MAIT’s academic range includes computer science, artificial intelligence and machine learning, electronics and communication, VLSI, electrical and electronics, information technology and mechanical engineering. BBA and MBA programmes add business education to the institute’s programme mix.
These fields connect foundational engineering study with areas that continue to develop across technology and industry. Programme names, seats, eligibility and curriculum may change, so prospective students should check MAIT’s official admissions material for the current academic year.
A graduate community
More than 10,000 engineers have graduated from MAIT. Alumni work in technology companies in India and abroad. For students and families comparing engineering colleges in Delhi, relevant considerations include the programme and curriculum, university affiliation, statutory approvals, campus facilities, faculty, and the outcomes the institute publishes.
Vikas Group’s education involvement
MAIT is part of the Garg family’s long-term involvement in education. The family also established Maharaja Agrasen University at Barotiwala near Baddi in Himachal Pradesh in 2013. The institutions are separate; each publishes its own current admissions, programme and campus information.
